Toddler hospitalized after being hit by a car in San Carlos Park

A crash in San Carlos Park caused an 18-month-old boy to be sent to the hospital Friday night.

The incident happened in a residential neighborhood on the 9000 block of Mandarin Road, between Ocala Road S. and Orlando Road S. when a vehicle hit the toddler.

FHP listed the crash as a hit-and-run on their website. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office will be handling the case, according to FHP.
