Credit: WINK News The pandemic has taken a toll on many things in our lives, and the American Red Cross says it has also impacted blood supplies. As the holidays approach, the organization says there’s a critical need, as the holiday season is always hard on blood donations – even more so this year. The Red Cross says blood supplies are low, with more than 100,000 blood drives canceled since the pandemic began. Convalescent plasma is also being collected from COVID-19 survivors to help those who currently have the virus. For locations to donate, click here.
