(Credit: WINK News) A man is dead after he was found in the water near his boat off Woodring Road on Sanibel Thursday. According to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, FWC law enforcement received a call at about 3 p.m. after a boat was found near a dock, and the boater was found in the water. It’s believed the boat ran into the dock, but FWC is still investigating. FWC says it appears the man was the only one on board. A good Samaritan pulled the man from the water and began CPR until medics arrived to take over, but the man did not survive. The man’s identity has not been released.
