The skies may appear hazy on Tuesday because of a pair of prescribed burns in Lee and Charlotte counties.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, one burn is located off the west end of Nalle Grade Road in Lee County. The other burn is in the eastern part of the Babcock-Webb Wildlife Management area, west of Babcock Ranch Rd in Charlotte County.

FHP does not have a timeline for when the burns, and hazy skies are expected to end.

The prescribed burns can create a smoky and hazy sky downwind from where they are taking place.
