A special celebration was held on Tuesday for a special lady.

Lucille Zacovic turned 96-year-old on Tuesday. Family and friends surrounded her at Choices in Living in Cape Coral. The heartwarming reception she got continued as they sang happy birthday and watched her open gifts.

One of those gifts was a specialty quilt made by the Quilters Guild of Cape Coral.

Zacovic told WINK News that the secret to living a long time is being considerate, kind and having multiple interests. “I’m sorry for the tears! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your life. I’ve had a wonderful life. Wonderful family and some rocks along the road,” she said.

Lucille said she had polio as a child, but she was able to recover with prayer and care. And, she’s been able to live what she’s called a wonderful life.
