A brush fire that sparked near Southwest Florida International Airport is now 100% contained.
Officials suspect it ignited after a lightning strike.
While fire crews have since left the scene, on Monday afternoon, several emergency vehicles lined a road, and a cloud of smoke billowed into the air. This was near Airport Haul Road.
San Carlos Park Fire Protection and Service District was on scene, as well as the Florida Forest Service and Airport fire. Airportofficlas also said Bonita Springs, Estero, and South Trial fire all pitched in to help.
According to an RSW spokesperson, no flights were impacted by this fire.
