Car v. motorcycle crash on Iona Rd. (Credit: WINK News) A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a car on Iona Road on Wednesday. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a car driven by a 37-year-old man from Fort Myers was backing out of a driveway on Iona Road, near Omai Court, around 5:45 p.m. A 58-year-old Fort Myers man on a motorcycle was traveling west on Iona Road, east of the driveway, when the car backed onto Iona Road and entered the path of the motorcycle. The motorcyclist rear-ended the car, throwing him from the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation. Car v. motorcycle crash on Iona Rd.
