Vanderbilt Beach struggles to get power back on after Hurricane Ian

Many streets across Southwest Florida are still in the dark, including Gulf Shore Drive in Vanderbilt Beach, and residents are frustrated.

Several condominiums on the street still can’t turn their lights on. WINK News spoke to one man who says he has been living there for 21 years and has never seen anything like this; he has never gone without power for so long.

Roy Teskey, president of the Casa Grande Condominium, says it has been challenging without power. He is doing everything he can, trying to talk to county officials and FPL, but he is not getting the answers he wants.
