A man caught a boat on camera floating up to the window of his home during the storm surge.
TJ Ferguson said he watched the boat travel across the canal in his neighborhood and land right outside the window of his home, for 10 hours the boat bounced up against his window.
That was only the beginning of Ferguson’s night.
“We had a plan to leave by car once it got up over a certain stair out our backyard. And as soon as that point came we went our front and there was a two-foot river going down the front road,” Ferguson said.
Living on a canal in Cape Coral, Ferguson expected the storm surge to be bad, but he never thought he’d be trapped in all directions.
Despite some serious damage, Ferguson has made friends with some of his neighbors during this process.
