A man defecated on the floor of a restaurant in Fort Myers after breaking in early Saturday morning and stealing alcohol and other items. The Fort Myers Police Department needs help identifying the suspect. According to the FMPD, around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, the suspect climbed through a small window at Joe’s Crab Shack on 2024 W. First Street in Fort Myers. The suspect then stole various items, including alcohol, and defecated on the floor of the restaurant before leaving. Footage when the suspect was inside Joe’s Crab Shack. CREDIT: FMPD The suspect is seen in a red hat, grey sweatshirt, light-colored shorts, sunglasses and white shoes. WINK News spoke with Rosane Rashid, who goes to the restaurant from time to time. “It’s very insane and disgusting. I just don’t understand how anyone could do something like that. That’s really disgusting, and yeah, it is one of those ‘Florida man’ stories that puts us on the map,” Rashid said. WINK News also spoke with a vacationer to Fort Myers, Kathleen Hadsell, about what happened. “There’s other ways to go about making a name for yourself than doing something like that, so hopefully they catch the guy,” Hadsell said.
