The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man they say was trafficking a 15-year-old girl.

Sheriff Carmine Marceno said Elijah Moore is facing charges of human trafficking, lewd and lascivious behavior, and a probation violation.

The sheriff’s office says their investigation began with a charred body found in Lehigh Acres on September 21, 2015, in the back of a vehicle. They say the victim died as the result of a gunshot wound.

Marceno says the victim was Aldo Camilo, who had been in an altercation with Sunni Jahbari over a posting on the website Backpage.

According to the sheriff’s office, Camilo had been using the website to be in contact with a 15-year-old girl. Backpage is known as a website where people go to find escorts.

Jahbari is accused of robbing and shooting Camilo. He is facing charges of second-degree murder, human trafficking, and robbery with a firearm.

Through their investigation into that case, the sheriff’s office says they learned that Moore had been advertising a 15-year-old for prostitution through Backpage.

Marceno did not specify if the 15-year-old in Moore’s case is the same as the 15-year-old in Jahbari’s case.

Marceno said Moore had taken the girl all over the state and forced her to have sex for money.

The sheriff says there is still an active investigation into this case and asks anyone who may have additional information to call the sheriff’s office.
