Multiple kids were injured and one 13-year-old boy was involved in a deadly crash Friday night in Collier County.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a sedan was heading North in the left lane on Collier Boulevard trying to turn onto Golden Gate Parkway.

Meanwhile, a pickup truck, driving in the outside lane, was heading South on Collier Boulevard.

The sedan then turned left in front of the approaching pickup truck.

Then the pickup truck crashed into the right rear side of the sedan.

After the crash, the sedan rotated before stopping at the intersection.

One of the 13-year-old boys in the sedan was seriously injured. He was transported to North Collier Hospital and later pronounced dead.

The driver of the sedan, a 17-year-old female, and two of the passengers, a 10-year-old boy and another 13-year-old boy, suffered minor injuries.

Everyone in the sedan was wearing their seatbelt.

Nobody in the pickup truck was injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
