Cape Coral police conduct death investigation after man discovered in pool

The Cape Coral Police Department is conducting a death investigation into a home on SW 13th Avenue after a man was discovered in a pool.

Police began their investigation Saturday around 10 a.m., provoking multiple police units to respond outside the home.

Locals expressed concern about the investigation, as yellow caution tape cordoned off the area around the home’s screened-in porch.

At noon, a forensics unit arrived, intensifying the investigation. Concerned neighbors gathered nearby, seeking answers and looking visibly distraught.

On Monday, the CCPD confirmed the death investigation. No further information has been released at this time.
