Peace River Wildlife Center celebrates 33 years

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – It’s a birthday celebration at the Peace River Wildlife Center as they mark 33 years of helping wildlife in Southwest Florida.

The wildlife center is home to more than 120 animals, mostly birds who have been injured in the wild. Peace River Wildlife Center veterinarians work to improve their health and ultimately release injured animals back into the wild.

As a birthday gift to the wildlife center, they’re asking for donations of:
  • Eggs
  • Paper towels
  • Gallon size, zipper plastic bags
  • Walnuts
