FORT MYERS, Fla.- Grace Church on Matanzas Drive is out thousands of dollars after music equipment was stolen from their facility.

“Over the last few days, as we have arrived to work to go about our day, we’ve found doors that have been forcibly opened and we’ve found items that are missing,” said Pastor Shari Lacey.

Lacey said it happened twice; once over the weekend, and again Monday. Soundboard, microphones and speakers are all missing.

She said the equipment is used mostly to minister kids inside the church.

“On Saturday mornings, we serve 80 families a week in our sports ministries, and that is where the equipment was stolen, out of our pavilion,” said Lacey.

Lacey said the equipment will not be replaced by insurance. The money will have to come out of their pockets.

Grace Church says they have faith that whoever did this will return the equipment.

“I think broken people break into places. Yes, we would like to have the equipment back and that would be terrific, but more importantly, we would love to have this person restored,” said Lacey.
