NORTH NAPLES, Fla. – A Lee County drug investigation made its way to a Collier County convenience store, leading in the arrest of the owner of two stores Thursday.

Enrique Elvira-Gonzalez of Bonita Springs was arrested and is facing 15 charges for the possession, sale and trafficking of cocaine and heroin.

His Bonita Springs’ Kwik Pick was served a search warrant by Lee County deputies on Thursday as his Kwik Pick at 103rd Avenue and US-41 in North Naples was searched by Collier County deputies. They were seen wearing masks and leading a K-9 deputy into the store.

The Collier County raid was part of a larger Lee County drug investigation, Collier County deputies said. They have not provided comment about what they found and how it ties to the larger investigation in Lee County.

One woman who works at a cell phone store nearby said she is shocked about the proximity of possible drug activity involving Kwik Pick workers.

“I’m there almost everyday and they were really nice people. So I’m not sure what happened honestly,” she said. “I wouldn’t think they would be involved in that at all! At all!”
