LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. (AP) – A maintenance worker has been arrested after authorities say he sexually assaulted a then-6-year-old in a Lauderdale Lakes home while her grandmother slept. The Broward Sheriff’s Office tells news outlets that officials arrested 27-year-old Nathan Valentin Wednesday on charges of sexual assault and battery. Authorities say Valentin assaulted the girl in October 2014. According to officials, the girl told detectives Valentin forced her to engage in sexual acts at her home while her grandmother was sleeping. An arrest warrant for Valentin was issued in December 2015. He is being held without bond. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
