WEATHER: Scattered storms tapering throughout Friday with highs near 89

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The best chance for scattered storms throughout Southwest Florida will come in the morning and the first half of the afternoon Friday.

A few lingering storms will still dot the area after that on an otherwise warm and muggy day. Highs will be close to 89.

Rain could be heavy with lightning and gusty winds during the morning, when it’ll be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the 80s. The afternoon will feature a mix of sun and clouds. Winds will be out of the southwest at 10-15 mph.
