FORT MYERS, Fla. — A hot, humid Friday is on tap for Southwest Florida, with a mix of sun and clouds and heat indexes between 95 and 100.

A slight chance of rain exists along the coast in the morning, but the a.m. hours will be mostly dry, so keep any outdoor plans. It’ll be mostly sunny until clouds start to roll in around 10 a.m. Temperatures will rise from the 70s into the 80s, with humid air.

A few spotty storms will develop from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with highs near 93. Storms will be scattered by the evening, with overnight lows eventually dipping near 76.
