FORT MYERS, Fla.- Authorities are searching for a good Samaritan who stopped to helped the suspect in the disappearance of 9-year-old Diana Alvarez back in May, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

Authorities say when Jorge Guerrero’s car ran off the road on May 29 and became stuck along State Road 60 in Osceola County, a good Samaritan gave him a ride to a nearby gas station.

Detectives believe that person could have important information in the investigation into Alvarez’s disappearance.

On Tuesday, the missing girl’s family called the press conference to reinvigorate the investigation, saying they believe some people have information about the case who’ve yet to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 239-477-1000.
