Images from Club Blu shooting impact victims’ emotional health

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Feelings of helplessness, vulnerability and a fleeting sense of security are a few of the lasting impacts victims can experience after surviving a mass shooting like the deadly July 25 attack outside Club Blu.

A board certified expert in traumatic stress said those feelings are normal but because most the witnesses were children, parents play an important role in the coping process.
