PUNTA GORDA, Fla. Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office conducted a yearlong investigation after detectives say they saw videos of a man using illegal drugs on several of his social media accounts.

According to CCSO, confidential informants and undercover detectives purchased illegal drugs from John Andrews over the course of the investigation which began in December 2016.

The drugs from the various purchases were sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Laboratory for testing, confirming their contents.

Throughout the investigation, Andrews lived at several residences in Charlotte County and stayed in Miami for an extended period. Andrews was arrested Wednesday and charged with six counts of sale and delivery of various drugs; six counts of drug possession; and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Andrews was transported to the Charlotte County Jail where he remains in custody.
