
A criminal investigation has been opened into a 2013 prostitution sting after video emerged where a police captain is suspected of engaging into illegal sexual acts.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has opened a criminal investigation into a March 14, 2013 Fort Myers Police Dept. prostitution sting. FDLE has confirmed the investigation involves Capt. Jay Rodriguez.
FDLE initiated the investigation at the request of the FMPD.
