The Florida Gulf Coast University women’s basketball team is on its way to the big dance. The 13 seed will play in the first round of March Madness against the fourth-seeded Miami Hurricanes Friday evening.

We’ve been feeling some rain on the FGCU campus, but you can not rain on this parade to the Big Dance. FGCU women’s basketball team is on a 19 game winning streak going into the NCAA Tournament.

The Lady Eagles are calm and collected as they boarded the bus to their round one game in Coral Gables. The season is the third straight in a row the team made the NCAA Tournament and the sixth in the last eight seasons.

The game starts on Friday at 9 p.m.

WINK Sports will be following the Lady Eagles to the east coast to bring you coverage of FGCU in the Big Dance.
