Deputies look for suspect who tried to kidnap jogger in Naples Park

Collier County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect Tuesday night, who investigators say tried to grab a jogger off the street in the Naples Park community.

According to the CCSO Facebook post, deputies are looking for a suspect in an older gray van who grabbed a jogger in Naples Park and briefly held her in his vehicle until she was able to get away.

Deputies say the victim was jogging on 6th Street North between 98th Ave. N. and 97th Ave. N. at around 7:30 p.m. when the suspect grabbed her and placed her in his van. She fought the suspect and got away from the van unharmed.

The suspect is described as a white male in his thirties with a short buzzcut hairstyle and stubble facial hair. He is approximately 5-feet, 9-inches to 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighs between 190 and 210 pounds. He was wearing a green T-shirt and khaki shorts.
