
One person was injured in a boating crash near Picnic Island on Tuesday afternoon.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said the agency responded to a single-vessel boating crash. It appears a vessel struck a fixed object.
Picnic Island is located at the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River, northeast of the Sanibel Causeway.
The operator of the vessel was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries, the FWC said.
No other information is known at the time.
