Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle in Collier County

A 22-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle early Saturday.

He later died of his injuries at Lee Memorial Hospital.

According to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 4 a.m. on Logan Boulevard South near Tallowood Way

A vehicle, driven by a 35-year-old Bonita Springs man, was traveling south on Logan Boulevard South when the man walked in front of the vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.
