Happy Tuesday, Southwest Florida!

Expect a very similar forecast as Monday. Highs will return to the mid-to-lower-90s with wind speeds between five and fifteen miles per hour.

During peak heating, expect our heat index to climb into the 100s!

Rain chances will be much lower. Only isolated showers and thunderstorms could potentially impact your plans.

We will continue our run of lower rain opportunities into Wednesday. Our seasonal weather pattern returns by the end of this week.

There are now three unique disturbances in the Atlantic. Each of them have has a medium (40%-60%) chance of formation over the next five days.

Thankfully, none of these show indications of impacting Southwest Florida. Model guidance is suggesting that the two systems in the Atlantic Basin will eventually obtain a sharp northerly shift in their movement.

Meanwhile, our disturbance in the Caribbean is now likely to form within the next three to five days.

The next name on our 2021 storm naming list will be Ida.
