Man sentenced to 20 years in prison on drug trafficking charges

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office announced that a man accused of drug trafficking has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

In October of 2020, Lee County narcotics detectives began an undercover investigation into Leonard Pitters, 27. During said investigation, detectives seized 1,081 grams of cocaine and 1,345 grams of Fentanyl.

Pitters faced a myriad of charges including trafficking in fentanyl and trafficking in cocaine.

On November 16, 2021, Pitters was found guilty on those drug trafficking charges. He has been sentenced to 20 years in prison and was ordered to pay $400,000 worth of fines.
