A 28-year-old Fort Myers man accused of shooting at an Irish pub in Punta Gorda was arrested in Connecticut.

Carlos Colon-Parrilla turned himself into the New Britain Police Department, according to Punta Gorda police.

Police say on Jan. 21, just before midnight, Colon-Parrilla was asked to leave the Celtic Ray at 145 East Marion Avenue after causing a disturbance.

He left and got into his vehicle.

Witnesses say they saw him firing a weapon into the air from his vehicle and then toward the building where patrons were, police said.

Witnesses said they continued to hear gunshots as he drove over the northbound bridge into Port Charlotte.

No one was injured.

Colon-Parrilla is being charged with discharging a firearm in public from a vehicle within 1000 feet of a person and two counts of shooting into an occupied/unoccupied building.

He will be extradited back to Charlotte County.
