The five-story building would replace the current Telford Building on the NCH campus. However, neighbors to the hospital have some concerns. “My heart is important to me and I want you to have a successful place, but I learned a long time ago there’s more than one way to skin a cat, and you are proposing to add two new OR’s and 10 intensive care facilities. I’m looking at a lot of real estate here and I don’t know it needs to all go vertical.” Most of the concerns from the audience were about the building itself. The project could cost up to $200 million. And if approved, it would open sometime in 2025.
