Near-record heat Tuesday with a lower chance for storms

After an active day of severe thunderstorms Monday, Tuesday will be much quieter.

While a few storms will be possible inland, the good majority of the Southwest Florida viewing area won’t see any rain — or thunderstorms, for that matter — Tuesday afternoon. It will be a hot one, however! Highs will climb close to record today with temperatures back into the upper 80s to low 90s for daytime highs.

A breeze also returns Tuesday and will kick off a stretch of breezy weather set to take us into Thursday.

Our next system will be a cold front set to move through Thursday night into Friday morning. This will bring the return of isolated rain and storms Thursday with a few showers lingering into Friday morning.

Behind the front, humidity and temperatures will drop for the weekend! Highs will be back in the 70s and low 80s Saturday and Sunday with lows back in the 50s Sunday and Monday night. Enjoy!
