A big mess at a home in San Carlos Park is getting a lot of attention recently and needs a solution. A couch, chairs, grill, a mattress, and more are piling up outside someone’s front lawn.

Daniel Garcia visits the area to see his girlfriend and told us “I feel like that’s a little selfish, you know, and it kind of looks bad, especially being on one of the main streets.”

If someone wants to file a code enforcement complaint anonymously to the county about the home on San Carlos Blvd this mess you wouldn’t be able to thanks to a state law that went into effect last July.

“I mean, being able to be anonymous, you know, it gives you more safety,” Garcia says. “Yeah, of course, losing the option definitely sucks.”

But when it comes to this home a spokesperson for the county tells WINK News there is an active and ongoing code enforcement case against this property. The same spokesperson told WINK the person living in this home has 15 days to fix that issue before they come back and reinspect before they can take further action.
