
One person was injured after being bitten by an alligator in Thonotosassa, Florida on Wednesday.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) was contacted about a person who was bitten by an alligator around 3:45 p.m. WFLA reported.
The victim was taken to the hospital but the extent of the injuries was unknown.
FWC said they sent a nuisance alligator trapper to Lake Thonotosassa where the bite happened.
FWC is leading the investigation into the incident.
