Comcast Comcast is working hard to get a connection back to its customers after the damage Hurricane Ian caused. According to Comcast, its response team is made up of more than 1,700 technicians, and network maintenance and engineering specialists continue to make steady progress in repairing damages to equipment and infrastructure from Hurricane Ian. Comcast is continuing to restore connectivity to impacted customers as quickly as possible. Comcast noted they hear and understand the frustration its customers are feeling. And, crews will continue to work, no matter the circumstances, until Comcast restores services for every impacted customer. As of Monday, there are 13 service areas that are predominantly restored, explaining this is equal to about 90% of customers in that area. But, just because they reached that mark doesn’t mean they are moving on. Comcast said its teams will still work on small pocket outages which could be an individual home or neighborhood street. Comcast went on to provide a restoration timeline, this is based on the assessments of damage to the network as well as the condition of Comcast’s local plant that’s in the impacted areas.
