FORT MYERS, Fla.- Volunteers with the Community Cooperative soup kitchen are busy Christmas Eve as they prepare and deliver hundreds of meals. Community Cooperative expects to deliver around 600 meals to the homeless and the elderly who signed up for the Meals on Wheels program. All through the week of Christmas, volunteers have been cooking, plus wrapping and delivering presents for the Christmas Adopt-A-Family program. The Community Cooperative will be open for breakfast and lunch on Christmas Day at 3429 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. in Fort Myers, to serve those in need of a hot meal or wants good company.
