FDLE finds missing 10-year-old North Fort Myers girl

UPDATE: The missing 10-year-old girl was found after a seven-hour search. She is being checked out to make sure she is OK, but seems to be fine, authorities said early Friday.

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. – A missing child alert has been issued for a 10-year-old girl last seen near the entrance of Island Vista at the 500 block of Eland Drive around 5 p.m.

Cassy Williams is about 4’10” with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She was wearing blue jean shorts and¬†black shirt and black Adidas high-top shoes.

Authorities from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement believed she may have been¬†with 21-year-old Brandon Robbins. Robbins is a homeless man and alleged fugitive¬†who is facing charges¬†for fleeing possible crimes in¬†Indiana. The Lee County Sheriff’s office¬†released¬†Robbins from jail on Aug. 24.

It is unknown at this time whether Williams was with anyone at the time she was found.
