FDLE finds missing 10-year-old North Fort Myers girl

UPDATE: The missing 10-year-old girl was found after a seven-hour search. She is being checked out to make sure she is OK, but seems to be fine, authorities said early Friday.

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. – A missing child alert has been issued for a 10-year-old girl last seen near the entrance of Island Vista at the 500 block of Eland Drive around 5 p.m.

Thursday.

Cassy Williams is about 4’10” with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She was wearing blue jean shorts and black shirt and black Adidas high-top shoes.

Authorities from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement believed she may have been with 21-year-old Brandon Robbins. Robbins is a homeless man and alleged fugitive who is facing charges for fleeing possible crimes in Indiana. The Lee County Sheriff’s office released Robbins from jail on Aug. 24.

It is unknown at this time whether Williams was with anyone at the time she was found.

No further information was immediately available.
