FORT MYERS, Fla. – A Miami seafood diner is set to open on downtown’s First Street soon, according to its local website.

Izzy’s Fish & Oyster is inspired by the tastes of New England and features a variety of seafood dishes on its menu. Executive Chef Jamie DeRosa opened a location on South Beach in September 2015, but said Fort Myers was a clear move for the restaurant’s second Florida location.

“I knew immediately that Fort Myers was going to be the home of the next Izzy’s, because our vision and the area perfectly aligned,” DeRosa said in a statement.

The new restaurant will open where French Connection once was in late December, according to The News-Press.
