Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers say they are looking for a suspect that stole a 55 gallon drum with approximately $500 in scrap copper from a business on Mercantile Street in North Fort Myers early Tuesday morning.
According to a Facebook post by Crime Stoppers, the suspect was seen on video around 3 a.m. walking around the business, then breaking in by tampering with the chained link fence.
After checking out the business wearing a dark shirt, he returned a little bit later wearing a light hoodie – which is when he actually committed the theft.
