Credit: WINK News. Two people were killed in a fatal crash on State Road 82 Friday night. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV driven by a 50-year-old man, with a 44-year-old male passenger, both from Lehigh Acres, pulled out of the driveway of Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, into the path of another vehicle. The second vehicle heading westbound crashed into the driver’s side of the SUV, killing both occupants. The 19-year-old male driver of the second vehicle, and two passengers, age 18 and 19, all from Lehigh Acres sustained minor injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of those involved in crashes, citing Marsy’s Law.
