Tracking more storms, heat across Southwest Florida

Published: Updated:

Rinse, repeat! More showers and storms expected across Southwest Florida Friday night and into the weekend.

Expect spotty areas of rain and a few storms tonight near the I-75 corridor. Most of the rain wraps up after sunset.

Both Saturday and Sunday the trend will be “the earlier, the better!” Scattered storms will develop inland around lunchtime and gradually push toward the coast in the afternoon.

It’ll be pretty toasty once again, too. Highs reach the low-mid 90s with heat indices peaking close to 105°.

In the tropics, the National Hurricane Center has nothing to track over the next five days. Music to our ears after Elsa!
