Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District wants to collect coats for those who may not have access to them this winter. So, Lehigh Fire, along with Lehigh Community Services, is launching “Warm for the Winter.”

Staff will be collecting new or gently used jackets and blankets throughout the month of November. They need donations of all sizes.

Lehigh Community Services has been assisting Southwest Florida for 45 years. They have already served over 5,152 families in 2021. Their success is thanks to assistance and donations from the community, civic organizations, local churches, and foods from Harry Chapin Food Bank, Midwest Food Bank, and Healthy Harvest Community Farms.

So, the donated jackets and blankets will be distributed by Lehigh Community Services.

If you would like to donate a blanket or coat, you drop them off at the following fire stations:

  • Station 101 located at 1000 Joel Blvd, Lehigh Acres, FL 33936
  • Station 103 located at 308 Gunnery Rd S, Lehigh Acres, FL 33973
  • Station 104 located at 3102 16th St SW, Lehigh Acres, FL 33976
