Fort Myers police said they investigated an aggravated assault at a Fort Myers apartment building on Saturday morning.
According to a Twitter post, they were called to the Sunrise Towers apartment building in the early morning hours.

After a brief standoff, all individuals voluntarily exited the apartment and police were able to detain the suspects, police said.
Five people were arrested in connection with this aggravated assault situation.
Guslanie Simeon, 32, was arrested for battery and resisting an officer. Arqueena Brown, 25 was arrested also arrested for battery and resisting an officer. Shantyria Jacob, 27, is facing one charge of battery and one of resisting an officer. Shan’tasia Jacob, 24, faces a battery charge and a resisting an officer charge. These four will appear in court on Feb. 22.
Arquesha Brown, 24, is also facing one charge of battery causing bodily harm or disability and one charge of resisting an officer without violence. She will be in court on March 7.
All five women are currently being held at the Lee County Jail.
Fort Myers police confirmed that these five people had been arrested in connection with this investigation. No other information is known at this time.
At least seven patrol cars could be seen at the Sunrise Towers on Central Avenue. Yellow caution tape surrounded the building, blocking off all of the entrances.
Police called it an isolated incident.
