A man accused of wielding a weed wacker is in jail after an altercation with a customer.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the victim said he and Jamie Thompson, 30, debated over money for residential landscaping services on Aug. 3.
They say Thompson walked back to his work truck and grabbed a gas-powered weed wacker. Thomson started the weed wacker and shoved it in the victim’s face before chasing the victim around the driveway and cars.
He then struck the victim in the face causing non-life threatening injuries.
Thompson left and was eventually arrested on Tuesday. He is charged with aggravated battery.
Thompson is a convicted felon with prior charges of robbery, arson, and child abuse.
