Tim Aten Knows: Twin Peaks, Mission BBQ still coming to Naples

Q: Twin Peaks at Coastland has not broken ground yet. Any update on when it’s opening? — Kathy Pope, Naples  

A: Twin Peaks is still in the City of Naples’ permitting process for its location planned at Coastland Center Mall, but its regional franchise group expects to finally open the restaurant and sports bar there in 2023.  

“We thought that we were days from receiving our building permit, however, after the hurricane, the building department has only been reviewing structures that were affected by the storm,” said Fred Burgess, co-CEO of DMD Ventures, a Florida-based company that develops, owns and operates restaurants and other hospitality brands. “We hope that they issue our building permit shortly and then we’ll open about six to seven months after it’s issued. We want to open more than your readers want us to open.”
