As Southwest Florida rebuilds from Hurricane Ian, a new storm, Nicole, begins swaying toward Florida.
And while we don’t expect Nicole to be anywhere as bad as Ian, there are still concerns about what people should expect and prepare for.
WINK News spoke to a few people that said they don’t have time to worry about Nicole because they are still picking up from Ian.

WINK News went to the Home Depot off Bonita Beach Road on Monday to see if people replenished their hurricane supplies ahead of the storm. Instead of buying water bottles and batteries, people were buying supplies to fix the destruction already in Southwest Florida.
Locals, like Jennifer Corwin from Estero, were saying when it comes to Nicole, the thing they are concerned about is the wind and what that could mean for the massive debris piles scattered around Southwest Florida.
“There’s people across the street that are still gutting their homes, and there’s piles of stuff outside,” Corwin said. “There’s cardboard boxes, there’s flooring all that stuff so I don’t know, depending on what the wind does you don’t want to see those missiles flying all over the place you know so hopefully we can get that taken care of.”
Corwin told WINK News she will keep an eye on the storm and, if need be, plan to tarp and tie down the debris in their front yard.
