Rafael Nilo Lorenzo, 68, was found guilty as charged with one count of sexual battery after a three-day trial in Collier County. Lorenzo was a maintenance worker for an apartment complex in Naples. He entered the victim’s apartment and forced himself on her in her kitchen. The victim’s family member arrived shortly after the attack and found Lorenzo, who ran away. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene and found Lorenzo near a maintenance shed. He admitted to sexual activity with the victim and was arrested. Lorenzo is scheduled for sentencing on March 31.
