GOLDEN GATE, Fla.- Detectives are investigating two separate incidents in which teenage girls say they were approached by a man in a red car on Tuesday.

Collier County deputies say both incidents happened near Golden Gate middle and high school.

One incident happened when a 13-year-old girl was walking north on Tropicana Boulevard near 32nd Avenue Southwest around 8:30 a.m.

The other happened around 1:30 p.m. when an 18-year-old woman was walking along 23rd Avenue Southwest near 49th Terrace Southwest.

The teens told deputies a man driving an older model red car puled up next to them and tried to get them in the car. Deputies say the man told one of the teens they should have sex with him all while he was exposed and fondling himself.

The suspect was also described by the second victim as a Hispanic man in his 30s and wearing eyeglasses.

“Every morning when I would walk to school he would pass by on the opposite side and he would slow down,” said one of the teenage victims. Two victims who spoke to WINK News say this has been happening for months.

“I was kind of shocked. At that time you don’t know what to do,” said another victim.

“I am thinking about all of the kids that go to high school at 6 something in the morning when it is dark, still,” she said.
