NAPLES, Fla. – A 7-year-old girl told detectives that a man approached her in her backyard at the Valencia Lakes community on Saturday around 6:30 p.m.
That man may have been involved in a separate ‘stranger danger’ incident from April 13 in North Naples, according to deputies.
The girl was playing with her dog when he walked up to her fence and asked to pet the dog, deputies said. The man told the girl he would not hurt her, the girl told detectives.
He stayed at the fence for a few minutes before walking away, according to reports. The 7-year-old girl spoke to her mother, who used a sketch of the April 13 suspect, deputies said. The little girl said the man looked like the image from her mother’s phone, deputies said.
This incident was reported to authorities on Sunday. The man involved is described as a tall white man with gray hair, a beard and mustache, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said. The girl also said he had green eyes.
