Lee County Sheriff’s Office released the names of a woman and man arrested in Lee County after deputies found illegal narcotics and an illegal concealed weapon on them during a traffic stop. On Saturday, LCSO arrested Charmikka Alizia Broughton, 19, and Andrew Jean Baptiste, 23, on Fort Myers Beach after being found with illegal drugs and Broughton having a concealed weapon on her person. MORE: 2 arrested for illegal narcotics in Lee County According to the LCSO Facebook post, deputies stopped a vehicle due to the driver not wearing his seat belt. Deputies smelled illegal narcotics inside the vehicle and saw a weapon. Both the driver and passenger were detained, and an investigation began. Inside the vehicle, deputies found an “AK pistol, an AR pistol and illegal narcotics.” Broughton faces charges for Carrying Concealed Weapon (Unlicensed Firearm) and Drug-Equip Possess (And Or Use). Baptiste faces charges for Marijuana-Possess (And Or Use) Drug-Equip Possess (And Or Use). Both Baptiste and Broughton bonded out of jail Saturday with trial dates scheduled in April.
